Becoming One Parish

The benefice is currently made up of three parishes which are working towards becoming one parish. This will affect some legalities and administration but will not affect worship. The Parochial Church Council of each parish received two documents in March 2023 which are available for download below:

Please take time to pray for the future mission of our churches as we become one Parish

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29: 11-13 NRSV).

God, you are beyond the grasp of our highest thought, but within the reach of our frailest trust. Come in the beauty of the morning’s light and reveal yourself to us. Enrich us out of the heritage of seers and scholars and saints into whose faith and labours we have entered, and quicken us to new insights for our time; that we may be possessors of the truth of many yesterdays, partakers of your thoughts for today, and creators with you of a better tomorrow; through Jesus Christ, the Lord of the ages. Amen. (Henry Sloane Coffin)

Dear Lord, source of love, peace and all creation,

May you empower us to become the people that you have called us to be. Growing in our personal faith and coming together as the radiant Christian family needed to fulfil your will for your church in Windsor.

Through your Holy Spirit reveal your vision to us, giving us the ideas, resources and the encouragement we need to enable a smooth transition to becoming one Parish.

Enkindle in us a missionary zeal and inspire others to join us in our work, so that together we may meet the needs of our community and promote your Kingdom here on earth.

Through this whole process may we remain united in Christ, firmly rooted in his love and dedicated to his service. Amen

Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4: 8 -11 NRSV)
