Giving to St Stephen & St Agnes Church

We are supported entirely by the generosity of the congregation, local community, and visitors. The money you give will go towards the work and mission of the church and other causes as determined by the parochial church council. The church supports (financially and by accommodating) the Homeless Project by hosting a homeless lunch every Saturday.

We are very grateful to all who support St Stephen and St Agnes through financial gifts, and are also grateful to those who support us with their time and talent. You can donate online via Give A Little Give A Little

In Person

A collection is taken at services, and you can put cash into the collection bag as it comes round. If you are a UK tax payer, then we urge you to use a yellow Gift Aid envelope which is located at the end of every pew. Using the Gift Aid form allows us to claim back the tax paid on your donation, increasing the value of your donation by 25% at no additional cost to you. For donations up to £30, it is not essential to complete a yellow envelope as there is a system called GASDS (Gift Aid for Small Donations), whereby all such donations in the collection qualify for  additional Gift Aid.

Parish Giving Scheme

Regular giving to support the ministry and mission of the Church is an important part of the spiritual life and of Christian discipleship. Regular (and one off) donations can be made via the Parish Giving Scheme. Donations can be made on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis by downloading, printing and completing the PGS Gift Form or by calling 0333 002 1271 (the St Stephen with St Agnes PGS code is 270627373) of by visiting the webpage for the St Stephen & St Agnes Church.  The Parish Giving Scheme gives donors the option to Gift Aid their gift and also to link a regular gift, should they wish, to inflation - an added benefit is that donors can be anonymous, if they would prefer.

The Parish Giving Scheme  is intended to replace the previous system for regular givers of giving by standing order with a Gift Aid declaration. The new system is very much simpler for the church to manage—almost its whole management is transferred either to the Oxford Diocese or to the Parish Giving Scheme itself. If you would like to know more about the Parish Giving Scheme, the details are here.

Particular Gifts

If you wish to make a particular gift to the church in memory of a loved one, or to commemorate a special event, please speak to a member of the clergy, who will be happy to have a conversation about possible suitable gifts.

Legacies

The restoration of the organ was undertaken entirely thanks to a very generous legacy. Leaving a legacy in your Will to St Stephen and St Agnes is relatively simple and, because the Church is recognised as a Charity, any gift to the Church is free of Inheritance tax. Your legacy might be expressed as “I give the sum of x pounds to the Church of St Stephen and St Agnes, Windsor” or “I give y% of the residue of my estate to the Church of St Stephen and St Agnes, Windsor”.
